Imagine eating that idli without the delicious nutty coconut chutney to go on top of it, or eating a pizza without that deeply flavourful pomodoro pizza sauce, momos without that fiery momo chutney or a simple sandwich without the humble, yet perfect accompaniment of the coriander chutney.

I assure you that was not much of a delightful imaginative experience, was it?
Well, that is why, Condiments!
Google defines Condiments as 'a sauce, etc. that is used to give flavour to food, or that is eaten with food'.
Really, Google?! That's all you got? Let me try again.
Condiment is an element that takes up just the smallest space on your plate but ends up adding a burst of flavour to every single bite.
Slighty better, right? I think condiments should be given lot more credit than they are. So a more Gen-Z friendly definition would be,
"Condiments are side characters with Main Character energy".
India's love for chutney knows no bounds with each state having its own myriads of preparations using locally available ingredients, which were traditionally pounded or crushed in a mortar and pestle, and more recently, blended.

Personally, I'm always eyeing that "zanzaneet" thecha; a handpounded chutney with chillies, garlic and salt as the base. And it was this love for these flavour bombs that led me to start a condiment brand. We, at Summore, believe in heroing the chutneys, sauces, pickles, pestos, jams, cooking pastes, and so on which make you say, Pass Me Summore!
Are you a condiment person too? Which one is your favourite go-to condiment you can't live without?
